USA Uni Break Work Placements Description

Locations include; 

Snow placements (Colorado, Utah, Missouri)

Beach/Lake placements (Hawaii, Georgia, Florida)

What it is

  • Well paid jobs with training provided for tertiary students from all backgrounds.
  • Huge range of roles available e.g. business, finance, engineering, finance, HR, hospitality, tourism, customer service, ski resorts, and more.
  • Multiple locations including; Hawaii, Utah, Missouri, New York. As well as other opportunities in the Maldives, Qatar, Canada, Thailand and more.
  • Financial assistance* available too. More detail below.
  • Earning potential ranges from USD$12.50 - $40 per hour (approx. NZ$19 - 62 per hour) with a minimum of 32 hours per week.
  • Overtime available for pay @ time and a half.

Eligibility  

  • Available to graduates who can depart up to 12 months after graduation, or current students available during your end-of-year University summer break.
  • Students who have completed one year of tertiary study and will be returning to study can take up to 4 months during the University summer break for paid internships & work placements.
  • All passports are welcome.

Benefits

  • Benefits differ from employer to employer but jobs can include discounted or free housing, meals, transfers to and from work, overtime available at time and a half in US locations.

Financial Assistance

The tough part about working abroad is the initial capital costs required to do so.

Visas, flights, and insurance cost $$$. This program is subsidised and also has financial assistance available for those who qualify. 

  • Financial assistance available for broke students to get there. Plus they provide support the entire way, the necessary visa sponsorship and guidance, insurance, and fully screened placements.
  • Employers can pay upfront costs to cover return flights and insurance fee, students just pay them back out of their pay cheque
